Orthodontics in Sa Pobla for every age
Straightening your teeth is not just about looks: a well-aligned bite is easier to clean, wears less and works without strain. We treat children, teenagers and adults.
First visit free Any X-rays needed for the diagnosis are charged separately.
When orthodontics is needed
Crowded teeth, gaps, teeth that stick out or a bite that does not fit together are the most common reasons. In children, an early check-up lets us spot jaw growth issues and, where appropriate, guide them while the jaws are still developing. For adults it is never too late: teeth can be moved at any age as long as the gums are healthy.
Metal and ceramic braces
Metal braces remain a highly effective and versatile option for all kinds of cases. Ceramic or tooth-coloured braces work in a similar way but are far less visible. If you would rather the treatment went unseen, we also work with invisible aligners.
Which technique is right depends on your case and your priorities. We explain the pros and cons of each so you can make an informed decision.
What treatment involves
We begin with a full study: examination, photographs and any X-rays needed. Based on that diagnosis we propose a plan and tell you roughly how long it may take. During treatment you come in for regular adjustments, and once it is finished we fit retainers so your teeth stay where they should.
All in one clinic
If a cleaning, a filling or an extraction is needed before you start, at Clínica Balaguer we do it right here, coordinated with the orthodontic team. No referrals, and a single team that knows your case.
Frequently asked questions
At what age should a child first see an orthodontist?
Around 6 or 7 is usually recommended, when the adult teeth start coming through. Treatment is not always needed then, but it lets us plan the right moment.
How long does orthodontic treatment take?
In most cases between one and two years, although it depends on complexity and on how well the patient follows instructions. We give you an estimate at diagnosis.
Do braces hurt?
For the first few days after fitting or adjusting them there may be some discomfort when chewing, which usually fades within days. We give you tips to make it as easy as possible.
